MO HealthNet Chiropractic Physician Inclusion

Full inclusion of Chiropractic Physicians in Missouri HealthNet (Medicaid) became law in August of 2018. However, since that time, there have been numerous hurdles to cross to ensure this law takes effect. MCPA worked closely with our 2018 bill sponsor Rep. John Wiemann to make sure the funding was properly placed in the Missouri Budget and the State of Missouri has been working on the infrastructure of their processing system to get Chiropractic Physicians set up in their systems correctly. This all has taken time and there have been numerous delays. It now appears that our wait is almost over. Starting January 1, 2020, MO HealthNet patients will now be able to see the Chiropractic Physician of their choice.

The provider enrollment process is now open for those wanting to become a provider. If you are interested in being a provider for MO HealthNet,  click the link below for the Provider Enrollment Application and complete the forms for Chiropractic Providers. If you are licensed for acupuncture, you must file a separate application as they have different taxonomy numbers.

MO HealthNet Chronic Pain Pilot Program began covering Chiropractic Physicians on April 1, 2019. If you wish to become a provider for this program, click here to learn more about the MO HealthNet Chronic Pain Pilot Program.
